Our Counsellors
About IRIS
Iris Community Counselling and Consulting was founded by two educators who have taught in the New Brunswick school system for over a decade and have come to realize the need for increased mental health support for today’s youth: Krista Royama and Marie Reinsborough-Wadden. This epiphany led to our decision to both acquire our Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology through Yorkville University and to transition into the roles of school guidance counsellor s in the Moncton area.
While our daily work has brought us well beyond the Tantramar area to counsel, our hearts have remained connected to our hometown and to the youth we hope to help locally. Inspired by our drive to focus our efforts in creating a more mentally fit and resilient Tantramar community, as clinical therapists (CCPA, CCC, LCT-C) we are now launching a local mental health clinic.

Marie Reinsborough-Wadden is a Canadian Certified Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, and is registered and licensed with the College of Counselling Therapists of New Brunswick. Her professional work is balanced between her role as co-founder and counselling therapist at IRIS Community Counselling and Consulting Inc. and her work in the education system in mental health as a school counsellor. After teaching and living abroad, Marie returned to her hometown of Sackville, NB, where she now lives with her partner, three children, and three dogs: spotting the summertime irises appear on the Tantramar landscape together is a favourite family pastime!
